Hi, we missed you always. So this week we are going to be finishing out February. I'm gonna pick Yeah, I'm going to pick out my book of the month that I read. I am not picking out the book of the month, but I read. We're fine, I probably can. We're gonna go over numbers. Okay, wait, I'm not done my introduction. You goof keep going where? Wait? We should? We should? So Alissa finally finally asked her bridesmaids to be bridesmaids, even though I'm fairly certain that we all kind of knew kind of. If you say so, I did, of course you did. I actually I actually wanted to order you a shirt that said major of Honor. Obviously it's true, though, but they didn't. They just I hate online shopping sometimes because the sizes are so wonky. Yeah, and one of the person one of the reviews, the person was like, I bought this in a two XL from my friend and it is like an extra large and I was like, yeah, that would not fit on my right thigh, so I'm not. So. The gift with it that came with asking was a bottle of champagne, which it's a very good champagne. I have drank almost the whole bottle before now. I have had less than half of a cup. Yeah you're not. I mean you're not really a champagne person anyways. You're not much of a wine person regardless, Like champagne just isn't your thing. But at Last is loving it. It's so good. I'm glad I picked a good one because I'm not lying. I literally looked at the bottle it that's pretty okay. So this is like kind of hitting me a little bit, like dress barely started hitting me too. It's like as soon as I started moving around and it started to circulate through the body and the alcohol is like, oh more places party. Who this is what Kay asked for though she wanted this, So you're welcome. So we are gonna finish out February. We are also going to start March with stuff your Kindles, new stuff your Kindle events. We're gonna do some new releases. I have a whole list of some really good ones. Actually, some really good ones are coming out, and I'm so excited. I know you have two releases on pre order. I have one. One of them doesn't come out this month though. Oh that's fair. Yeah, that one doesn't come out to me, I don't think. Let me see. Hang on and I'll tell you. Okay, yeah, May fifth. That's long, rude. But one of the new releases that I have is painted spread edges, and. I have to let everybody know too. I've just discovered like this last week. What not. Oh, it's gonna be a long ride which your bitch wood Wednesday. Okay, sorry, keep going, Okay. So my husband got me these pens for Christmas because I'm always running through pens, and he got pens that have sayings on them. And this one that I brought in today, even though it's Sunday, I brought in a wish of bit, which would Wednesday. I also have throat punch Thursday, and fuck off, it's Friday, and motherfucking Monday, and I think today's would be shut the fuck up. It's Friday, Sunday, Yeah, I think it's yeah, something like that or Saturday. I don't remember. I'd have to go find them. What is uh Tuesdays? I don't remember. Anyways, they all have some profanity on them and I love them. I love them so much. Did I saw someone that has a pen that is thunder see you next Tuesday Thursday, and I was like, I need that. Okay, so no, that is my Thursday. Okay, thundercunt Thursday, and then Tuesday is throat punch Tuesday or something like that. I love it. I love them so much. So anyways, sorry that went all thrills. Big surprise there. I was gonna say, on par with us. I wanted to send out a big hello to any from our TikTok because I'm posting a little bit trying to promote us. Welcome. This is who we are. And I just like to make it clear that Elise has been posting. I have been trying. I've been making a lot of friends. I'm glad you're making friends again. You are. This is where my golden retriever energy comes out, like not mine, No, This is when we reverse like roles and I am the golden retriever because I'm like friends. Hi, I love that you're listening. I appreciate you for being here, but I would like to hide in my house. That's fine, That's perfectly fine. So first things first, getting into maybe our book club stuff. So before we even start talking about the last five chapters, we are going to be putting out a poll and we will pin it to all of our socials. Of the top five, we actually had to go back a couple times to try to differentiate like some genres, because apparently all we like to read are mysteries, like thriller mysteries, so we tried to pick five that were kind of different because not everybody likes to read thriller mysteries, and we appreciate that. We also don't like to all the time, however, that. Some of the things that we read, we do not feel like you would like to join our book club and or hear us talk about, right. I also don't think I could personally talk about some of the things that I read, not for the open air for anyone to hear. Yeah, as much as I appreciate reading dark romance, I'm not sure that's a demographic we want to necessarily talk about us. I can appreciate those that really do like to read dark romance. I love that because I'll I love that, But that is not going to be everybody's cup of tea and it's probably not something we should like. Well, this is what they did in this last time. No, yeah, I cannot. I can imagine as being bright red and not accomplishing anything but giggling hysterically. For the whole podcast. We do that anyways. Yeah, but throw dirty sex scenes into the mix. At least you're turning red and we're not even talking about actual sex scene. Ah, can you imagine? Could you imagine? Oh? I probably die of a heart attack. I know. So our five that we pick that we are going to put on as a pole, we want you to interact with us. You go on, pick which one you want us to read together. It could be the one that you want to read or one that you've read and you just want to listen to our thoughts on it. These are our five that we're gonna put on, and we'll have you pick. So our first one is I hope this find you well. By Natalie Sue and that is a contemporary romance. Yeah. I think it's more contemporary, not so much romance. I think there might be some sprinkled in, but I think. It's maybe a contemporary fiction. Yeah, okay. And then we each so that was off of your to Be Read list yep. And then we picked one from my TBR, which is the one by John Mars and I think that's more of a dystopian kind of mystery. I think it's definitely a more of a dystopian mystery thriller. We both picked because this is one that we have said that we would like reading. The Charmed Library by Jennifer Mormon. Which came out last month, I believe. So I think that was on one of my I think that was on. My January okay, so January. Still it came out this year, yeah, I think it was on the January releases, so it's a new one. We also picked The Secret Lives of Murderers Wives by Elizabeth Arnot. And that actually releases this month. Mm hmmm. It's I think the third of March, so that one would be a very new book. But it sounds super interesting. I know, I want it so bad, I know, but do not what we want sway you. Please, these don't because I mean, honestly, we picked five that I mean to be completely biased. We wanted to. Yeah, so if you pick one of these where we're like, oh, okay, we're. Not gonna be mad regardless of what you pick. And then our fifth one is called b MF The Rise and Fall of Big Niche Nats and the Black Mafia Family by Mara Safflop. Yeah. I don't know how to say her last name, but I think that one's gonna be so fun. It's a true crime. Oh I want to read it. You know, we're a sucker for a good true crime. Yeah, but this is not murders or that kind of violence. It's bringing cocaine into the country. Right, It's it's definitely a mafia crime family. Yeah. Yeah, So those are our five. I'm gonna put them on all of our social media's, I think, and try to put like pictures of the covers and maybe a description of each and like the blow blurb for their pictures, or at least on Facebook. I'm going to Yeah, I'm gonna post it on TikTok and just be like, hey, does anybody have any suggestions and then I'm gonna go through them account because let's be real, we're only getting I think the most We've had like five comments, but. I mean people are looking at it, so right. Okay, So those are our books for our next book club. We're going to start that April first. We are going to read the next five chapters right after this. Oh yeah, absolutely. I have made notes though, Like I know that we said we weren't gonna annotate. I think this is a situation where whatever book we pick next, I'm gonna annotate in the book. And I don't usually do that because I I have an ick about annotating in books. But I think I'm going to use post its or something. Speaking of X, I found a new one this week. Oh no, what I think. I sent you a picture of it. My last book was printed, the pages were different colors. Yes you did. Oh yeah, that's a huge no no to me. I think I actually said on it. I was like you, yeah, no. And the only thing I could say is like it because this is a dual point of view. It was like, if each point of view was different, that would have been really cool. I would have been all for that. Awesome. Yeah, But this was not. It was just like the whatever coloring or whatever tree like the tree might have been discolored to I don't know, like the pulp was something different for these pages because they were just super. Off and it was chunks of color between. So let's talk about the book. I will say starting off, we missed a whole basic chapter from last week when we were talking about it, and let's start there. Yeah, Heather goes to Maureen's again to talk to her mom. Yeah, to talk to her mom, but also I think she was gonna go looking around again. First of all, when she goes up into Maureen's room, well, actually, first of all, Maureen's mom has started cleaning and packing house. Second of all, Heather goes up to Maureen's room has been ransacked. Uh huh like looked through for something. But the cops did it, so it's no big deal. Right. There is a eye opener in this chapter, which again I feel so horrible that we miss this because this is a huge part of the book. But we were right. Maureen's mom did have an affair with Heather's dad. We just got it backwards. Also, Juni is not Marine's mother's correct or like, like there was no cheating on that effect. It was just Heather's mom had just had Junie. I think I think she was pregnant for Junie when it started happening. It might be that too, I can't remember quite off the top of my head, but it was something very similar, right. We also learn in this chapter that Heather steals some of Maureene's mother's pills. Yeah, and brings them home, and she talks very much that she's ready to end her life with them. Yeah. And I guess that is a good tie into this this week's like last. Five chapters, is there anything? It's no good tie ins. This book pisses me off. It was actually a super big turn of emotions for us this last week, sitting on the couch after recording. We had recorded it and we were like, oh, awesome, Like we're gonna find out some answers. No, bitch, we aren't. Like. Heather's dad is a complete asshole. I don't like him. M mmm. I have held out hope this whole time. I do not like him, you know. And I want to say, like, props to me for getting ikey vibes from him from the beginning. I mean, I didn't I didn't not get ikey vibes. Yeah, but I just wanted, in my heart of hearts to believe that he was a good guy, even though he was a little fucking weird. He he I'm sorry. You don't if your daughter comes to you and tells you, I don't trust this man. This is what we saw. You don't go tell that person. Yeah, Like, her dad goes and tells the sheriff everything, in which, of course the sheriff denies it. Hmm. Here's the thing with these last couple chapters. Maureene isn't hasn't like, Maureen hasn't been gone for long. She is dead, but she has not been dead for long. Barb comes over, and Barb and Heather kind of like talk to each other about everything that's been going on in speculation. Did she go over? Did they run into each other? And I think they've ran into each other so much because how they asks her to come spend the night instead of going to a party. Right, yeah, right, she was supposed to come over and she never shows up. Well, the next morning, the sheriff shows up and starts accusing Heather of like a suicide. Packed. First of all, my thoughts on that how does he already know that she's dead? Right? How does he already know that it's a suicide pact? Yeah, thoughts on that. HM. I do not like that there was another party. I do not like that. It sounds like Cloudy was going to that party. I do not like that. It sounds like Ricky was trying to get out of that party. I think Ricky is very misguided, and I think Cloudy is going down a dark, dark road. I think our speculations on Ricky, our initial speculations on Ricky and Cloudy, are now reversing. Yeah, I think is actually the good guy. I won't say good, I know, but I think that at this point he's seen some stuff and he doesn't agree with it, Whereas I thinkright Cloudy just wants to fit in. Yeah, I would agree with that. Kind of like the whole Ant situation Aunt wants to fit into. M I feel like Ant is bad deep in his bones. I feel like, yes, Aunt came from a bad situation, and he's gonna just perpetuate that bad situation. Yes, because we find out at the last chapter that we read where it's where it ends, which is why Alyssa's sitting on the couch and she goes, are you sure we can't read one more chapter? And I'm like, no, we cannot. And then don't let her fool you, because then she looks me and goes, I mean we could technically read the whole thing and then just talk about it again. I did say that. Yeah. So at the end of the last chapter, who was it that found Oh, Cloudy. I think it was Cloudy saw the picture of Heather that Aunt took, because it's getting around. Now because Cloudy needed to talk to Heather mm hmmm. And I feel like Cloudy was gonna tell Heather that he like has a crush on her or something mm hmmm. And then all hell kind of breaks loose there. And it has found out that Aunt has been showing the picture around yep, and Heather marches her like, good for. Heather, Yeah, good for Heather, but also girl. People are going missing. Stop. But she marches her little butt over to Aunt's house and is like, I want that effing picture. Give it to me, now, give it to me, and he says it is mine, you let me take it, and I'm like I just want to reach through this book and pound on him, like but here's. The other thing if she gets like hulk mad and she's gonna go through his front door, and then he realizes that she's gonna go through the front door and steps in front of it. I don't know if Heather were to go in that house, if she would come out alive. Like what is he protecting in that house? Like, I'm not saying that his house is a great house to begin with. Oh no, absolutely not. So we know his dad is a piece of shit. Yes, I held so much hope for Aunt too, and that's the worst part. But Ed is also kind of sketchy at this point. I don't like that Aunt is still around. He hasn't been run out of town at this point. Like the sheriff and the DA want the other thing with the sheriff because we need to talk about this because this was a big piece of it too. There's a Beth chapter. There is a Beth chapter, and we find out that because there's all these rumors and speculations of the sheriff right now, the sheriff has asked his own deputies to go in and search his house. They are also going to search that cabin that is out by Cory dead Man's Cory or something like that. In Beth's sub chapter. First off, Beth got that freaking five inch metal spike out the ground nine so proud of her. See, I have speculations about them. I don't like it, and it's bone. I don't have. I don't think that, but that's good inside. Actually I have a sneaky suspicion that with Heather being so investigative, she's actually going to find Beth and. Bescue the stabber. I also thought that, but I don't know. So whoever Beth's captor is realizes that wherever Beth is being held is going to be looked at, So we know it's either the cabin or we know that it's. The sheriff's because at one point it is mentioned that Beth hears a lot of footsteps and a lot of laughing and a lot of men, And I think, I personally, I'm now like thinking, I'm really wondering if it is the cabin or something close to the cabin. It is nothing to make shift a bunker, right. The other thing we learn, Oh, so when whoever Beth's captive is realizes that they go and doctorate Permouth and they duck tap her arms and tell her to be quiet. Right, So they already knew that the place was going to get searched. So it's either I think it's either the sheriff or or the sheriff. The sheriff is involved somehow, yeah, Or it's the sheriff telling his quote I'm using air quotes, you just can't see it. Or it's the accomplices of the sheriff. But here's the other thing. And I think this is a red heron, I really do. Beth hears them say something close that sounds like Dodo, and then we find out that Ed's last name is well, I mean, we already knew this. Ed's last name is Gotto or Godo, so right. I mean, because you can be talking to about somebody without really knowing, Like it could have been like, oh, just talking about him, or they've heard that the agent is looking into him. It could be any of those things. It doesn't necessarily have to be he is the person, right, So I think that's like one of those mind bender like just to get you thinking type of things. Yeah, I don't know. I don't either, but I'm telling you I cannot wait to the next five chapters as soon as we're done, as soon as we're done. Like throughout our time doing this podcast since January, I have said like, oh yeah, I get my kindle back from my daughter. It's not funny, but it's. Kind of My daughter killed my candle. I was trying to help least fix it today and I was holding it in my hands and then my hand was wet because she. Had gotten into our dog's water dish and I think gave it a bath. I'm real depressed. Go friend started go front me. No, oh yeah, I need to get a new one. But I just can't let her have it this time. That's what it is. Yeah. Well I was like, that's okay, we'll fix it, and then I'm holding it. I'm like, oh but not. Yeah. I was big mad about it, and I feel really bad about it. I kind of lost my cool. But it was my baby and I let her use it, and I should know better. She's only a toddler. It's on me. Yeah, But also she knows what she does. She loves to put crap in the dog of water to play with it. She put plato in her straw the other day. Yeah, I don't know she put that stupid magnifying glass in the dog's water dish and then walked over and took the slide off so she could get the battery out. I was like, no, no, we took those batteries out, real, fam. It was like, no, bur done. Yeah. So I don't mind being the bad guy. She can be mad at mail she wants. Oh no, I really don't mind being the bad guy either. It's just I have to live with that. Well, so she also is like she holds grudges. My fance was like, uh no, bring it here right now. Yeah? Yeah, she So my parents got her a well, my mom got her a microphone m M I think for Christmas two years ago to try and help. With the purple one. It was pink. Oh okay, sorry pink. Anyways, so got her a microphone to try and get her to like start her speech and stuff like that. That took a bath too, which is why it makes me think that my kindle took a bath because I caught her dunking the microphone bit into the dog dish, and I'm like, do we want to. Talk more about her books? Today? So no, I don't want to talk about that, but I'm going. To because it's funny. It's not. So I'm so funny, proud of it, bitch, you said fuck earlier and she goes, what the fuck? Yeah, I need to be really careful now. So this past week, I think last week we talked about it a little bit, But this past week my daughter has been uber excited to read books. She it's been bringing us like four or five books at a time and she wants us to read them all. I love that, absolutely love that. And she'll actually sit and listen to it the whole time. Well, I was editing on Friday before I like my last minute edits, trying to like finish it up before I send it out edit, and she comes up to my husband she was like, I want to read this. And he was like, honey, I don't read. He is not a reader, and that is fine, but she was having none of it. She said do it now. Yeah. She got up in his lab and like handed him the book and was like, we are reading this. I said do it now, yeah, And so they were reading it. It was an animal book, so they were going through each page and saying the animal names, which she was repeating back, which was awesome. That's great progress. They got to the donkey, and I'm sure all of you can tell where. This is going. My husband looks at her and says, oh, that's a jackass, and she goes jackass, jackass, and I'm like, no, don't teacher that teacher donkey and he goes, yeah, jackas just like mummy, and I said, I looked right at him, and I'm like, it's also an ass, just like daddy, don't play this game. So my daughter has now learned several less than appropriate words in the span of a few days. I don't know what you were even doing this when we got here this week, you did something. You turn around and went fuck it. She went what the fuck? And I was like, did she just end in my fance. I was like, yeah, oh. Yeah, she's she's become much more expressive. Like we were leaving to go meet up with you and be at your house, and the guys were in the garage and I said, okay, say goodbye, and she says bye, see you later. Like she's much more expressive at home, which is fine. I'm glad she's comfortable enough to do that, but also slow year old. But then but then Alice gets to the house and I get out of the car and I'm like hi. And from the back see she's screaming. Like oh god, and her little arms going oh, she's waiting at me. I was like, oh my god, I love you so much. And at Lisa's like it's because she knows Aunty's gonna spoil her. Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, obviously that's my babe. And that's fine. I love what you want me. I do love that for you, I really really do. Do. We want to move on to finishing out our February sure thing? How many books did you read in February? And I will wait for you to count. I already did I read? Okay, how many? Thirty one? I'm just kidding. I read eleven. I wish people we need to be videotaping this. My eyes just got so much. The worst part is, though, it's like, I don't be pass you like I believe that. No, I read eleven. That's really, I mean still, that's really. It's not as good as thirty. But I read four this month off of my twenty six and twenty six. Yay. I'm so proud of you because I know how hard you're twenty five and twenty five was. Yeah, I did I chose books differently this year. Which is nice. Well, no, and that probably does help, but it's good motivation. It's really good motivation. So that puts me at nine for the. Year off your twenty six for twenty six. Yeah, that's awesome. And that includes the ones that I added for people that had given me books, so not technically my twenty six and twenty six, but ones that are listed on my twenty six for twenty six. Oh and then the other thing is, is your sister so sneaky that she snuck me a book and she's like, I can need you to read this so I can hear about it. Because she oh write one of the ones that I did not like it. No, she didn't, but she wanted a different perspective. Yeah, She's like, she sent me the yuck meme. I was like, it's fine, I'll read it, but I do have to finish the last of the Elsie Silver series before I move on, and I'm on the last one right now, So I know you, Yeah, you had some feels about that. HM. Seven out of my eleven were uh, physical or kindle reads, though, so I feel pretty good about that. I read six books. I'm so proud of you. You know what, if I can get above fifty percent of what you have read for the month, I am proud. I'm so happy. I mean, to be completely fair. One of the books that I read was only eighty one page. It was a novella. I'm okay with that. I am. Actually I don't think I counted one because it was only twenty six pages. I just needed a like palate cleanse. I really did counted anyway, So no, I'm not going to because it actually was a it was one of those like, hey, we're gonna give you a freebie, but this is going to come out soon. Ah gross. Yeah, I love those so much, but I hate them so much. Honestly. Thank God for it, though, because it was a really good palate cleanse. I did finish. So I finished three audio books, two kindles, and one physical. And I'm so fucking proud of that. That one physical was the one physical that I've been struggling with since January. Yeah, and it was my It was one of the ones for my twenty six for twenty six. I am not doing a very good job for my twenty six. For twenty six whatever, Who cares, it's just there. For fun. Yeah, I mean, to be completely fair, I should have been better about picking the ones that I wanted, because my mood this month was like or like right after I finished that when I was like, I have the second book of that series, not right now? If I struggled through the first one, why would I pick up the second one? So I'm like, uh, like, that sucks that I have that on my twenty six for twenty six, but. You might be failing it later in the year. Yeah, it might be it can't read. It very much. Might be it's a romanticy kind of Yeah, I don't know. I struggled through it, I will say, So, Okay, I also am doing this, so I'm doing my my book of the month. I told you this earlier. I'm between two books, and the worst part is is that they were both like one was a five star for me and one was a four star. One is going to stick with me for a while because it traumatized the hell out of Mean and we talked about this. The other one is probably going to be my read of the month because I did rate it higher. I don't think that's fair. I don't either, But I did really like this one too. It is going to stick with me because I did not see the ending coming in this. Okay, So for me, my book of the month for February is going to be Between Two Kings, which is the second book of the Spit and Swallow series Jesus Christ. It is the second book to Kiss of the Basilisk So Bro, I. Don't know why you read the second one because you struggle with the first one. No, I listened to the second one. I was struggling with that book in general because I got that as a physical and I tried. It wasn't going to happen. So I listened to it. It was better listening to it. I like it when they talked. I actually did some different genres this month. I didn't. I'm looking at it and I'm like, oh, all of these are romance except for the physical is a romanticy kind. Of I read the Kenny Chesney book. I read three murder mysteries. I read so Stonemaidens was one of the physicals I read off my list, and that is a mystery thriller. I read some romance, yeah, and then I read a contemporary fiction. Nice. I like the diversity. I read a total of two and seventy six pages technically, and that's counting all the Audible reads quote unquote, but for hours for Audible, for the three Audibles that I listened to, I read a total of forty three hours. That's awesome, or listen to. I should say my one physical read was over four hundred pages long. My two kindles. One was under one hundred pages because I needed a palate cleanser, and the other one was nearly five hundred pages long. That's awesome. Yeah, let's see what I read for February. I read three thousand, forty four pages. Good for you, Good for you. I just started. I haven't really gotten that far into it, but I just started my first ever free to make Fadden book, which I'm hoping you like I think I will. I just need to get into it a little bit more. My kindle read. I'm so excited about my kindle read. I've been binging it. It's so bad, Like I wake up in the middle of the night and I can't go back to sleep, and I'm like Kindle time, Like darn, I can't sleep, huh darn. I've been reading book one of the Wrecked series, which is if any of you like blow Deck, like any of those TV shows of yachting and whatnot. I mean, I know, I know the dramatized I love those shows, which in turn love this series so far. I mean, I'm only on chapter I think five, but I love it so far. I really just do because it reminds me a lot of like watching the TV series. But again, it's a book called Wrect. I'm waiting for that part. Yeah, but I also really like, like, my favorite book is a survivalist. It's I like Hatchet. I like the survivor books like Castaway. I like that movie. I like where the survivors of accidents has to survive on their own. I like novels like that. I wish that I could write one like that, because I truly, deep down in my heart love those. I will never be able to write one of those. I just know it deep down in my soul. So anyways, my book of the month is Between Two Kings by Lindsay Stubby, and that's what we're gonna go with because I I absolutely loved that book. I did. I gave it a five star and it was a for uh fire for spice. So you're gonna be Solt pissed. I've told you how I pick my kndle books. I've told all of you how I pick my kndle books. Yeah, just random. I scroll up and down like y's the pig one. Yeah, it's so when I got here today, Welcome to the first Today is the first day of March. Yay, I finished my first book of the month while we were here. So yeah, I finished my first book of March today. Fuck off. So you need to read half of a book today to stay. I'm no, go fuck yourself. I'll find another one that's twenty six pages long. I think that one was like two hundred and eighty so it wasn't long. No, I mean that's not long for you. For me, that's like, okay, take me a week to read. Okay, it depends, It really depends. Actually, let's get into it because I need to talk about the book that it's gonna take me hours to read. I'm gonna finish it in one reading. Do it, do it? Oh, I'm going to use I'm so excited. Okay, we're gonna skip your your segment. So March. Let's talk about March. Welcome to March. It is March first. As we are recording this. It will be March sixth by the time that this gets out. Hello, March, Hey, ready for spreak? Thank you same. Oh bring me the sunshine and the warm weather please. It was thirty seven degrees outside yesterday and I had the windows down. So nice, And for other like thirty what thirty seven fairnheight. Yes, it's it's still cold for a lot of people, but us up in the Northeast were just like, oh. My god, it's not negative numbers anymore. The sun feels so nice. We haven't seen this on an age's I. Could probably wear shorts outside. I don't either, jacket. It's not great. We are those weirdos, you know, seeing any Mostly guys I won't see girls don't do this. But most of them are guys that are walking around on college campuses right now in some of the Lower States especially, they're in shorts. They're from the Northeast. Oh, absolutely, like I had. I actually had a classmate of mine who year round. Granted he was from the Northeast. He was actually from like a town away from my college that I went to, and he would wear shorts you around. I could have been a blizzard and he was wearing shorts. My cousin wears shorts you around, and then he got in trouble because he works for a school system and they're like, you need to set a good example, so he had to buy pants to. Wear a school I can see that. So book releases, what, I have a really good list. I already have some that ordered. I have one off of this list that is our already pre ordered and is coming in this week. I'm so excited it is going to be I'm gonna sit down and binge read it the entire night it's coming I think Wednesday. It'll probably get read on Friday. And you also have one from this list that is also on pre order. Yes, so March third. There's a bunch coming out in March third, so by the time that you listen to this, these books will be out. Highly suggest these books. I actually looked up a lot of the descriptions. They all look fantastic this month. I'm actually really excited because I from this list. First off, we have Lady Tremaine by Rachel Hakhozer. So this book actually has been hyped up a lot. Yeah, it is a retelling of Cinderella, but from the evil stepmother's perspective. I'm excited, but knowing that the evil stepmother, like, out of all of the evil stepmothers, she's probably one of the worst. Yeah, but I want to see how this one turns out. Also on March third is another Freed mcfahn release. It is What I Want to Know a Secret fun sounds good. Yeah, I mean. All of f he does sound good, like I'm sorry, they just do a sports, feel good comfy read. Comfy Romance is in her Own League by Liz tom. Ford sounds like one I need to read. I think that you would like this one. Yeah. I don't dislike Liz tom Ford. Yeah, she wrote The Mile High. Serious, right, I'm not positive on that. I don't want to say whether or not because I'm not positive. You want to look that up. Yeah, I did not like The Mile High first one. That's what Bea is reading right now. Yeah, I know, and she has she likes it. She did not like the first book, which is The Mile High. Yeah, but sometimes series do that where like some people don't like the first one and then the rest of the series or vice versa. Yeah, So that is Liz tom Ford and it's The Windy City series. Okay, I did not enjoy the first book, but b has made it very clear that I need to give it a chance. Yeah. I also had another one that was kind of like out of left field, but I think it's something that we would probably enjoy as like a biography. Yeah, lost Amelia Earhart's Three Mysterious Deaths and One Extraordinary Life. Huh by Rachel Hardigan. That sounds interesting, right. I was like, you know, I I am huge into conspiracies. I know, I haven't deep dived into Amelia Earhart because I'm a little bit nervous to mostly because there are a ton of conspiracies around any flight that goes missing. Yep. I don't want to deep dive into that. I'm much more into like the true crime deep dives because that's where my passions kind of are. Right. But Amelia Earhart to me is a huge persona especially like women's rights and stuff. Right, I mean not even women's rights, it's just weak, very hard right. It's an empowered woman and I love that. So that made my list for that reason. My last book for March third is the one that I have on pre order. I'm so excited. Strange Buildings by Uketsu so excited. I am so gosh darn excited. You're gosh darn right. I jumped on that soon as I found out. When I was coming out. I was like, preorder, I want that right now. Yes, it's mine, I have binge read. I actually didn't think that I like it as much as I did. I ended up getting the first book of theirs because I am very much an architecture geek and I love that. I mean, that's kind of what I went to school for originally. But then I loved it so much. I went and got a Strange Pictures and now I'm like, oh, strange buildings, We're back into architecture. Here we go. I love it so the first one she read and then gave it to me, and. I read it, and I forced that upon you because I loved it so much, and then we forced it upon my cousin. But I read it. I read it in a few hours, and I think she read it in a few hours, like it's so good, but it's gonna get you thinking. Oh yes, yeah no, And that's what I think I like. It's probably why I like a lot of Stephen King's too, because those are psychological I like psychological books like novels, so that one for me was kind of a mystery, but there was also story behind it. I love it, right, So I'm very excited for that to come in though, probably my first full read of the new year or a new month. I was gonna say, girl, you already finished books, what are you talking about? Shut up? March tenth so next week this story might save your life. You won that, correct, Yes, but I don't know how to get it, which is make me mad. Guys, story has some really fantastic giveaways. Go and I please. I did go and enter in some of the story graph ones lately because there have been some really good right. I need to go actually and check that. So that story that book is by Tiffany Crumb. I think I also applied for that Giboy. Also on March tenth is mistakes were made by Lucy Score, which is the second book in story Lake series. So those are your March tenth March seventeenth, are you ready? I only have one love song by l Kennedy. Guess who already has that pre ordered? Like shocker? I actually like said it too. I was like I told myself that for whenever you get married because you haven't decided on a date yet. I was like, I'm going to reach out in some fashioned el Kennedy and be like, hey, can I at least just get a signed copy with maybe like a little inscription saying happy wedding, Like that's gonna be my wedding gift to you. I would pass away. I know you would, and that's why I'm trying to get it so badly. I would pass away, Miss Kennedy, if you're listening, I will pay for. Your signature and just say have a happy wedding. I would pass away, but that's what I want for you. I would frame that bitch. Oh you're no joke. I literally like I thought of it. I'm like, oh, that would be the best wedding gift ever to like your husband. Screw him. He's not getting anything. He gets a wife. That's all I get. Maybe some good food, maybe a couple dances, a kiss here and there. That's it. That's all you get. Sorry, I'll bring him beer. You can't bring him beer. We're having a bar. No, No, I will physically go get him the bar. Okay, I will be his bartender for the night. Bar bitch. March twenty fourth Hunt the Villain by Rina Kent, which is the second in the Villain series, which has gone pretty viral. Like that series in general, I've heard very good things about which that will probably be me read March thirty. First, we have some big names ready, Game On by Nevessa Allen, which I know a lot of people already have on their pre order list. I need to read Caught Up, so I haven't yet, so I haven't gotten it on pre order. What We Did to Survive by Megan Lally. I read this one. This might have to go on our next five because that one looks really good too. And Star Side by Alex Astor, which is actually the author of the last but physical book that I read, Red Light Lark, and she is the author of that series. So those are my book release lists. It's kind of smallish, but very big book titles coming out this month. So excited. There's at least something every week. I'm so excited too. I'm overly excited, probably that the bottle of Prosecco's can tell me about stuff your Kindle events this month, because you sent me the list already and it looks huge. Yeah, we've got some good ones this month, So we have seven that I know of something. Yeah. So the fourth is Alpha role pound Cake okay, which is like the cinnamon roll boyfriends that are strong and manly but are just little cinnamon roles. So more your speed. So my fiance, oh my god, it's true, he is. I know. I love it really. Oh no, that's how I describe him to people. I'm like, he looks kind of big beefy burrow. Like he's a biker guy. What do you want? But he definitely gives off teddy bear vibes once you get to know him, like he's a super huge teddy bear. Yes he is. So that's gonna be more your speed than mine. But I'm I don't know, I've been into them lately. I know you have. And then the eighth is International Women's Day. Heck yeah it is. Yes, go girls, the one's there. The thirteenth through the fifteenth is Dark Romance Day. That is more of my speed. There we go, which is awesome because this we all know. The last one for last month did not work, and I'm sorry to our listeners who tried really hard to get on it. I don't know what happened. There was no way for me to reach out to them. There's nothing on the website as a contact us that you could actually contact them. Which is it is a bummer, it really is. And we are so sorry that that didn't work out because we had a lot of people actually reach out to us and say, hey, what the heck. Unfortunately we are not affiliated. We just find them. Yeah, and I was looking forward to it because I had dark romance on it and I was so upset. Yeah, I don't know it worked first because I checked at like five o'clock that morning and it was working fine. And so I don't know if they had issues or something happened. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know either. Hopefully maybe they do another one. Yeah it works, I don't know. Yeah. The fifteenth through the sixteenth is nonfiction growth and real life stories ew Growth. I'm hoping there's a lot of biographies in there. I also hope. I know I made a joke about self help books on TikTok. I do own some. They have to be sorry, No you're not. Don't apologize. If you're not sorry, you are so rude. I'm sorry it came out like that. There was no filter. That was one of those moments where you saw it after you said it, and you wish you could reel it back into your mouth, don't. I don't wish I could reel it back. That sucks to be you. I go to therapy every week. I'm going to bring you up this week, you rude ass. And your therapists can be like, she's not wrong. That's why she gets paid. Okay, bitch, I should be paid. I listen to your ship just as much. Do you want to tell them about what I wrote in that card again? Now? Yeah? No? Okay. So as a part of not to like go off topic, but we're going on a tangent here because you've brought it up. Now. So, Alyssa gave us all us girls when she asked us to be bridesmaids. She gave us a bottle of prosecco, the same prosecco a bottle. She also gave us each a card with a handwritten letter inside, which was wonderful, but. They all were very on par for me, like thanks for driving, thanks. For mine says something like, uh, you are the leader of my. Uh the ship, yeah, my ship circus, the ring leader of my ship. Circus on par on par she right. I called this bitch up. I called her as soon as I read it, because she asked me. She was like, did you cry? And I'm like, no, bitch, I didn't because you said you don't take my advice because I give you shit advice. You know what, I'll never give you advice again. You're so full of shit. Yes you will. You can't stop wanted advice. It's unwanted advice. And I'm still gonna give it to you, and You're gonna listen whether you take it or not. Fuck you. I always listen. Did you ever take my advice? Sometimes when it's not shitty? Can I take back my like yes? Now? Actually didn't even say yes. I looked at you and I'm like, is it too late to say no? Oh? That's funny though, because like b had already like she had kind of already guessed it, like she's she's not, she's no dummy, but she had already guessed her. She's like, so, is this one of those volunt old situations? Yes, No, you don't have to join me. That's fine, that's up to you. If you don't want him, don't. Your husband is invited and you're not. End of story. Try get all, I was friends with you way before he was. Second of all, I am your fiance's cousin. His sister, my platonic wife. I don't care. I'll fucking uninvite you. Try me, bitch. We're too spicy for this today, Okay, continue moving on? Sorry from her sass Fest eighteen through the twenty first Uniform Madness. Yeah, I'm excited, me too. Also eighteenth through the twenty first romance book blast. Ooh, and that's a like plethora of romance so. And then finally the last one we have as of right now, but again, I will keep watch and see if any nu ones pop up. Is the twentieth through the twenty third is stuff with fantasy? Yay, that's for me. I know you've got a couple of this month. I know March is just gonna be my month. I'm telling you, Like, February was not my month just because it's my birthday month and I always I never get my way on my birthday month. But March mm hmm, March is gonna be my month. Yeah, I'm gonna make it my month. Make them a bitch. Are there any books that you have like on your list right now to be read or you just going winging it. For next month, for this month, like off of my TBR. I'm not sold on this, so do not quote me. No, these are like perspectives. Yeah, I think that I probably, like I said, I'm gonna finish the Elsie Silver series. The last one I have is wild Card. Yep. I'm probably going to take a little quick break and do ten things we did and probably shouldn't have. That's a young adult super fast yep, just a little something before I start reading the. Next Yeah, well, so I plan on doing that. Actually, I feel like, because we're getting close to the quarter of the year, I think we just need it. Yeah, that's kind of how I feel. I do think I'm gonna read Into the Woods though. That's a romance by Jenny Holliday. From what I've seen, it goes very fast, oh good, And I think I just kind of need that right now. That Elsie Silver. Her books are so fast. I can read them so fast, but sometimes I just feel like I get bogged down in the story because there's just sometimes there's a lot of drama in them. And it's fine whatever, I don't care, but sometimes I'm like, Okay, yeah, I need it to go back to light and fluffy. Yeah, no, I get that. I've been reading a lot of kit lately. Yeah, which is great. I love that. I actually so, I will say I'm really excited. In the month of February, I've won two good Reads giveaways and I'm like, whoa. And one of them was actually a kindle book and it is Death Rights by Sarah Ward. I'm very excited to read that one. So that is actually on my list some of the other ones that I want to read, and these are on like they're not on my TV are They're just there my TV are physically physical books. I have an audible that I'm planning on reading. Actually, my mind is jumbled right now. Audible. I have one that I think you read because you like this author. I got Priest by Sierra Simoon. Have fun. Yeah, ask me about Priest? Ask her, I dare you poor sweet bee? Wait? Was this one of the first when you met me that. She uh she started reading this one? Oh no, I don't think that she was expecting. And she messaged me one day and she's like, oh oh oh, I love that for me. Then. So I also have a big unboxing that I'm going to do once because one of the other good Reads giveaways that I won was a physical It's my first ever physical win. It was one of fourteen, but it's coming in the mail. I also have a box that's waiting to be unboxed. I know what they are, but I want to do a big video of unboxing, which my husband's gonna hate. He doesn't mean to know. Oh no, he saw the box the other day and he was like, what is that for the podcast? I was like, O, their books, honey, and he goes, how much has she been on those? And I'm like, he's the other You're the jack and he's. I know, I know, but I so. I did get a lot of kindle books from one of the Stuff your Kindle events actually, and I also follow a book group on Facebook. I think it's like the Bookish Batties or something. Yeah, I love it. The person that is running that, I believe it's a woman. Don't quote me on that. I don't want to like misgender or anything. I'm pretty sure it's a woman. Anyways, She's phenomenal, Like as much ever as she puts into that. Good for you, girl. I wish I had more time to put into it. I just don't. No, but that's just it. Like I wish I had more time to put into it too, but again, we have full time jobs, right, we need to prioritize those over our like this is a hobby for us, but audible So along with Priest, I am currently listening to Binding thirteen. That you're welcome, B. Yeah, thank you B. That first book is actually split into two parts because it is such a long ass book, which means I now have to get part two, listen to part two, and then get the second book and read. That too, unless that's also split into two, because no, it is no, okay, that book is also very long. It is not, which kind of upsets me that the first one is split into two and the second one isn't, because why even split into two them? That just seems like a money grab to me. I have read plenty, or I've listened to plenty of books that were over thirty hours long. It would have been fine to split this one into I think it was total almost twenty five hours. That is fine, do it, just do it all one go, Christ Like I'm spending my audible credits, I. Don't have any audible credits. I don't have audible right now. Yeah. Well, I've actually made it through most of my audible TBR awesome. Yeah, which means I have to jump back on like I should probably stop my Kindle TBR, like I should stop my Kindle subscription and then start my audible back. I listen to a lot at work. Yeah. So the last one is I'm going to read The Charlie Method by L. Kennedy because that is the book that ends a series to start this new L. Kennedy series that I'm getting in the mail perfect sometime this month. It's supposed to be the seventeenth, but it now says delivery Update one available. So oh, and I apologize for interrupting you. No, You're fine. I don't care. Okay. Do you think that hurts my feelings? No? Have you seen who I live with? Do you see who I hang out with? We're not supposed to pick on him no more. He'll get over it. He loves me after the hell he put me through last night, he can deal with me being sassy today. It's his fault. Yeah. So my whole family is now feeling better. I'm actually not even as stuffy anymore, which is great. However, Tom's stomach was not feeling good last night. Yeah, it feels fine tonight or today. Oh, don't you worry. He feels great today because the sass is Sassin and the sarcasm is a flow wind, and I don't, I do not I do. The first thing. The first thing he did is he opens his eyes and like, side eyes me to see if I'm awake, but he leaves his head in the same position, and I can feel him staring at me, and I'm like, what do you want? That's a smart man, though I'm sorry. But then when I would open my eyes, he would shut his really fast, like he didn't think I could see him. And then he gets out of bed and he's like, I'm gonna let you sleep, and I was. Like, sleep, how I'm up, I'm up. You literally were just staring at me, you know this? So he shut the door and I laid in bed for another forty minutes because I was like, well, now you pissed me off, and I come out and I sit in my neice comfy, cozy bean bag he bought me, and then the fucking sarcasm just to flowed and flowed and flowed, and I wanted to tell him to go back to bed and try again. That's because he didn't feel good last night, so he had to do it all today. No, he literally put himself to bed at like eight thirty last night. It's just pent up sarcasm he has to get Instead of like pent up rage, he has pent up sarcasm. And if he doesn't get it out of his body in a full day, like, it just gets worse the next day. I'm sorry. Good he has to go to work tomorrow. They can deal with it. Does he think he's sneaky? Because I'm not kidding you. We will be laying in bed and I will be facing him because I lay on my side sometimes and he'll have his head on his pillow normally, and he'll do this for like a solid twenty minutes. I'm gonna be I'm gonna defend him. Are you ready? He is trying to be really nice and let you sleep. He's just like trying to see if you're actually awake or not. I was up every hour checking on him. There is no sleep for. Me, because you love him. I didn't want him to choke on his own vomit. Obviously, he wasn't going to he wasn't going to. I just love it because you both give off You both give off the I care so much about you that I hate it. You both you both give off that vibe of like I care so much I want to strike. Yeah, it's so funny. It's not so bad right now. And the worst part about it is he hasn't been sarcastic the whole time we've been here, and as soon as we get in the car, he's gonna start up right back up again. Not to me. He hasn't been sarcastic to you, maybe, but it has been barely scraped the bottom of the barrel compared to what. He has been. Okay, I think it transferred to my husban because he's been a sassass since you guys got here. They feed off of each other, and they hate it. They do. I love them both dearly. I don't like them together, but this is how we are together. We can't say anything. I don't know. I love when your husband and I get to be mean to you, so you do it to me too, So don't even make that face. Do you want to pick a question of the week, because I'm sick of you already and I. Don't like you either, so that's fine. No, okay, we're not doing this. Okay, we're not right now, Okay, because I just don't have nice in me enough to do this one right now. Okay, Top five authors you'd like to interview. Like together or separate whatever. Okay. I don't know why I'm asking you. I made the quest. This might be controversial, but I really would love to interview JK. Rowling. Yeah, I'm such a Harry Potter nerd. I'm sorry. I just I would really love to talk to her. It's such an impact on so many people's lives, and it's such a phenomenal series. I just want to talk to you, like, talk to me about your thoughts. I want to like a snippet into your life in your creative mind. Who else? Oh? Oh, I have one? Okay, Okay. So this is a duel because they wrote a book together or a series together, and it's a mother daughter duo PC Cast and Christen Cast. They wrote the House in Night series, which for me was a huge part of my late high school early college life. That book series. I bought every single one when they came out, and I am again, I'm horrible at finishing things. I still have not read the last one because I don't want it to end. I should have that on my like TBR, but I just I am so scared to have it end. But there is a spinoff series and I should read that too. But I would love to interview them as well, because that series was a huge impact on my life. So El Kennedy obviously, Megan Quinn obviously obviously, But I think that's one it'll be a little bit of a shock to you shell silver scene that does silver. Scene that does not know that doesn't surprise me at all. And then I also have Jenny Blackhurst. Who does. Murder mysteries but not fluffy but not like in your face, and I just want to know how she gets to where she gets if that makes sense. Yeah. I would also like to talk to Chantelle test here, which she does a lot of public events which I would love to attend one. We just again so rural nobody comes up here. But I do love her series. I love the Lord series. I didn't think I would like it, and I fell for it so hard. I would love to talk to Rebecca Yarrows just because I think she would be so much fun to talk to because she's done. I've watched a couple of her interview panels. She's just fun to talk to. Yeah, or she's at least fun to listen to when she talks in interviews. She's so fun. I would love to just talk to her and just hang out. And then my last one would be Casey Sherman. Kansey Sherman wrote Helltown, but he does research on actual like true crime ooh, and that's how he writes this. Helltown is based off of a true book, I mean a true story, and that's how he writes them. Is he puts in information from actual murder cases or true crime cases, and that's how he develops his books. I think learning more about that would be really cool, like his process. There is one author that I do collect. I'm not sure if I'd want to interview this author, mostly because this author is very outspoken in maybe more political views, and I don't I don't want to get mucked up in that. Yeah, if you were to interview and only talk about the book, you would one hundred percent do it, or talk about books you and one hundred percent would. Do it absolutely if I knew that it wasn't going to go off the rails and political views. I would absolutely interview this author because I think his brain is just wired differently. Yeah, and this is an. Author that you can say you would like to interview them with caveats, that's fine. Yeah. I And again, like one of the first big, like big, one of the first adult books that I ever read was this author's because I just I liked I liked his writing. I liked his style of writing. It made me think. I loved that he also writes horror. I mean, they are kind of horror, psychological thrillers. I just I wish that politics didn't muddy. Yeah, because this person, this author has a horrible past, like has struggled with addiction and stuff like that. I mean, this is gonna give it away, but for all that, No, I absolutely would love to interview this author. But I feel like I can't choose them right now, just because. You can choose them, and it's okay, you can choose them, That's okay. You can say I would interview them, but only what allow them to talk about books. I would not allow them to go outside of that. You can say that. So I have a running list of books that I collect, and I only buy them from like secondhand. I have a lot of his book so I collect a lot of Stephen King. I have been collected Stephen King since I was probably in sixth grade, which sixth grade's a little young for Stephen King, but I really the first full book of Stephen King that I read was his book Cell, which is phenomenal. I read that in sixth grade, which was way above my reading level, but I wanted to read it so bad. And I loved this book so much that I just I fell in love with his writing style. It was so out there. I mean, he had been writing for many, many decades before my time, but his writing style didn't change too horribly, right, and still really hasn't changed too horribly. I It's such a different way of thinking, and that's what I appreciated. I appreciated his writing style and his creative mind. Props to Stephen King, because I do love your writing. I really really do, and I would love that is one brain and I'm scared to pick but I want to write. But I think that was all that we had today. But join us next week. We're gonna go sit on the couch and read the next food. Yeah, so we got to go. Yeah, we gotta go. But we'll talk to you next week, hopefully with some updates and maybe some maybe a new game. Ooh yeah, I might have that planned out next. Week next I'm excited. It was fun talking to you. Have fun. Bye,
